[News] Michelin strengthens its range with E-Wild tires specifically for E-MTBs
E-MTBs are equipped with a multitude of specific components, including tires.
Michelin's new E-Wild range is inspired by its current Enduro tire range. As such, these tires have specific tread patterns for the front and rear. The E-Wild Racing Line Rear has been designed to provide maximum traction on climbs, which is evident through the asymmetrical placement of the sipes. It has also been equipped with puncture protection to keep you rolling on difficult terrain.
The specific tread of the front tire has been developed to offer grip and inspire great confidence when reaching higher speeds. Both tires benefit from Michelin's Magi-X compound, which promises to maintain grip at temperatures of up to three degrees Celsius. They also benefit from E-MTB-specific puncture and pinch-flat protection to cope with the rigors of e-EWS riders.
In the range, there are four tires available, all in 29-inch sizes, in addition to a single 650b model that looks set to be used on mullet bikes. There are also widths of 2.4 and 2.6 inches.
As for prices, they start at €80 and go up to €90.
