Trek Mino Link High or Low: Find the perfect suspension fit for your bike.

When it comes to MTB, having the right suspension setup can make all the difference to your riding experience.

Trek Mino Link High or Low: Find the perfect suspension fit for your bike.

The Mino link is a Trek innovation that allows you to change the geometry of your bike in a very simple way. It's a small piece, placed on the upper connection of the rear triangle with the link, or on the connection of the link with the upper part of the shock absorber or even on the lower connection of the shock absorber with the frame.

With two positions, you can change between a High or Low setting.

Mino Link with High configuration:

When High, it decreases the distance between wheels, projects the handlebars forward and increases the distance between the pedals and the ground. It makes the bike more maneuverable, better in tight bends and more technical terrain, accelerates better, more efficient when climbing and less likely to hit the ground. It becomes, shall we say, more "XC".

Mino Link with Low configuration:

When Low, it increases the distance between the wheels, decreases the distance between the pedals and the ground and decreases the angle of the fork, making it more relaxed (slack). The bike is more stable when descending, especially on steep slopes, and more confident at high speed and in fast corners due to a lower center of gravity, but there is a greater chance of hitting the ground with the pedal.

In short, any of us, even without much knowledge of mechanics and with a simple Allen key, can change the geometry of the bike in a few minutes, depending on the terrain we're riding on.
