Saddles and shoes specifically for electric bikes may not have much merit, but electric bikes have specific needs, especially when it comes to tools. Park Tool now offers three new tools for the workshop that should make working on electric bikes less of a hassle.

EWS-2 - Electronic shifting tool - €12.99
The EWS-2 is similar to the EWS-1 tri-star tool (no, it has nothing to do with endurance racing), but it doesn't replace it. It has a head with a slot for removing the 2032 battery cover and two wire holders which should make it easier to fit the electronic insulation to the covers. Its 3 mm outer diameter connector fits the EW-SD300 wires of the Shimano Di2 E-tube - for the EW-SD50 wires, you'll need the EWS-1. The blue color should let you know which tool you want at a glance.

LRT-5 - Locking tool for Fazua Ride 60 E-Bike transmissions - €33.99
All brands that build their own crank and spider require another tool. Fortunately, Park Tool also has a 16 knuckle, 41 mm outer diameter locking ring for E-bikes with a Fazua Ride 60 motor. This 4140 steel locking ring has a 3/8" socket for a 36 mm ratchet or wrench, so it can also withstand the lower tolerance of an adjustable wrench.

SW-6 3.7mm spoke nozzles - €8.95
Continuing with the change in E-Bike standards, some E-Bikes with hubs use huge 3.7 mm spoke nipples (about 8.5 gauge or 0.146" in imperial units). Park Tool now has them too, so you can add another colored spoke wrench to the tuning stand.
